Nurturing Faith:
Inspiring Learning

Willow Class

 (reception and Pre-School)

We are very proud of our Early Years Unit and all the children who learn in it.

On this page you can find out more about us and the exciting learning opportunities and experiences that our children have throughout the year.

Willow class is made up of children aged between 3 and 5. In Willow class we have lots of fun playing with our friends, taking part in lots of different adult directed and child-initiated learning to develop our reading, writing and number work as well as the rest of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We love to learn alongside our friends and explore using our senses. We are curious learners and enjoy asking questions to find out about the world around us.

The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum includes the following areas:

The three prime areas:

  • Communication and language;
  • Physical development;
  • Personal, social and emotional development

The four specific areas

  • Literacy;
  • Mathematics;
  • Understanding the world;
  • Expressive arts and design;

At Cameley Primary School we pride ourselves in our Early Years provision. We accept children in our Early Years Unit from the term they are three years old. We aim to nurture each child’s love of learning and to give each child the best start to school life.
