Chestnut Class is our Year 3 class, which is made up of 19 children aged between 7-8. Chestnut Class is taught by Miss Sheppard. Mrs Parsons teaches Year 3’s on a Wednesday afternoon.
In Chestnut Class we love learning together and aim to capture children’s own curiosity through a wide range of curriculum areas. We aim to provide the children in Year 3 with a range of learning opportunities that inspires the children’s love of learning. Feel free to come and see us any time to find out what we do and how we learn.
Please see below for our daily timetable and long term plans for the year. At the bottom of the page you will find some highlights from each term’s learning.
Reading is something that we are very passionate about at Cameley and aim to support children both with their reading (based on phonological awareness and comprehension skills) but also aspire to create learners that have a passion for reading a variety of genres. We encourage children to read at least 5 times a week. Please write in the reading record book noting the date, the page they read to and any comment you wish to make. In Chestnut Class your child’s reading day will be on a ….. (to be advised), this is the day that they will be listened to in school.
